Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with gospel, soul music and R&B. Avery Sunshine's performances have been on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe. She has also performed at performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine is Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by playing the piano and singing at church. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music in the Atlanta's R&B scene. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls, the theatre production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was at the center of attention for the nation during daily performances of four at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine then went on to be invited to sing for President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
